The listing and trading on the Mauritian Stock Exchange started on the 14th of July 2016.

CIEL Agro

CIEL is a key stakeholder in the agro- industry and owns 20.96% of Alteo Limited, a company listed on the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM). With an annual turnover of MUR 12.1 billion in 2022 (approx. USD 281 million), Alteo is a leading regional player in the sugar, energy and property sectors.

As the largest sugar producer in Mauritius and with a strong and growing presence in Africa, Alteo operates three sugar factories in Mauritius, Tanzania and Kenya with a total production of 301,927 tons of sugar and three power plants (two in Mauritius, one in Tanzania) that exported 258.9 GWh to the national grids in 2022.

CIEL Finance

Specialised in Banking & Financial Services, CIEL Finance Limited is a subsidiary of CIEL and is actively involved in 4 sub-sectors of the financial industry: Banking, Fiduciary, Asset Management and Stockbroking. With approx. 1,600 employees, CIEL Finance operates in Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles and Botswana.

CIEL partnered with Amethis Finance, an investment vehicle dedicated to Africa, which currently owns a 24.9% stake in CIEL Finance. This partnership aims at creating synergies between the two groups and optimising their development in the banking & financial services sphere in sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean.

C-CARE (INTERNATIONAL) LTD

C-Care (International) Ltd is a registered private limited company which owns, operates and manage assets in the healthcare sector in Mauritius and across Uganda.

C-Care currently holds majority stakes in C-Care (Mauritius) Ltd (67.41%), which owns and operates 2 main private healthcare facilities, namely C-Care Darné and C-Care Wellkin. C-Care also proposes laboratory services through C-Lab and has 2 satellites clinics across the island, C-Care Grand Baie and C-Care Tamarin. It also owns and manages the International Medical Group IMG (93.02%), largest provider of private healthcare services in Uganda.

CIEL Hotels & Resorts

CIEL Hotels & Resorts regroups all the tourism and hospitality activities of the Group. CIEL owns 50.10% of Sun Limited - a company listed on the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM) and SEM Sustainability Index - which owns and operates four resorts in Mauritius (La Pirogue, Sugar Beach, Long Beach and Ambre), all operating in the four-to-five-star segments under the brand Sun Resorts. Sun Resorts also manages the iconic Ile aux Cerfs, off the East coast of Mauritius, which is comprised of the world-famous Bernhard Langer designed golf course. Besides, Sun Resorts owns 100% of the 5* luxury Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita which is managed by Four Seasons. Sun Ltd also owns 74% of the iconic Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort and Spa, managed by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts since November 2015. Finally, CIEL, in joint venture with Alteo, also owns 50% of Anahita Residence & Villas Ltd, which is operating under the brand 'Anahita Golf and Spa Resort'.

CIEL Properties

CIEL Properties Limited looks after the Group's land and real estate assets in Mauritius. The property business includes Ferney Limited, an important landowner and manages a nature reserve and hunting grounds of (3,100 hectares) situated on the Southeast coast of Mauritius. Evolis, its latest property assets vehicle, is currently transforming old textile buildings and other properties of the Group into repurposed areas for commercial activities. With a strong focus on accelerating sustainable development in Mauritius, the Group offers differentiated biodiversity and agri-hub opportunities in the local market through La Vallée de Ferney. CIEL Properties also owns and manages Ebene Skies Limited, a six-level office building where CIEL is headquartered.

CIEL Textile

CIEL Textile is a world-class global player in textile and garments operations, present in Mauritius, Madagascar, India and Bangladesh with more than 23,000 employees. It has developed into a regional one-stop shop for textiles, with vertically integrated business units, from yarn spinning to finish garments. CIEL Textiles exports around 43 M garments annually to Europe, India, South Africa and USA.

In 2016, it started the commercialisation of Continental tyres with Best Drive.

United Motors Ltd

UML, a fully-owned subsidiary of Leal & Co.Ltd, is the official importer of KIA, Haval and GWM brands in Mauritius.

KIA has been the best-selling passenger car brand in Mauritius in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Leal Reunion S.A.S

Since October 2013, Leal Reunion is the official distributor of BMW and MINI in Reunion Island with a Head office in Saint Denis and another one in Saint Pierre.

Luxury Automobiles Co. Ltd

Luxury Automobiles, a joint venture with HM Rawat Group, is the local agent of Aston Martin Sandton (Pty), the Aston Martin importer in South Africa.

PNL (Pharmacie Nouvelle Ltd) is a subsidiary of the Leal group of companies and is specialized in the brand development and distribution of consumer goods, pharmaceutical products, as well as distribution of chemical products.

PNL - Health

PNL represents some of the leading laboratories of the world: Merck, Sanofiaventis, Pfizer, Roche Diagnostics, Boehringer Ingelheim, Abott, Glaxo Smith Kline... and provides quality products and services to a large customer base.

PNL - Consumer

PNL markets and distributes a variety of international brands from a large number of multinationals: UNILEVER, BEIERSDORF, DANONE Baby Nutrition, SC JOHNSON, SUNTORY, GLAXO SMITH KLINE, ABInbev, TWINNINGS, DIAGEO as well as key brands in their categories for the local market such as Bébécâlin, Nin’s, Trébon and JEWEL.

Within the fast moving consumer goods sector, PNL is an important player in 5 universes, namely, Personal Care, Food & Beverage, Home Care, Baby Care & Nutrition, Wine & Spirit.

PNL - Retail

PNL launched a retail shop in 2012 at Les Pailles, where the full range of products is available and a dedicated area for wine and spirits that can accommodate tasting sessions, wine training, mixology workshops and private bu- siness meetings. In 2016, it opens a NICOLAS wine shop at Bagatelle and in December 2020 Coeur Cap Tamarin.

PNL - Chemical

In 1974, PNL established its Chemical Division and its association with DYSTAR since 1995 makes PNL one of the major suppliers to the chemical and textile industry in Mauritius.

LEAL IT CLUSTER

Leal Communications & Informatics Ltd (LCI)

The first company of the Leal IT Cluster (incorporated in 1977), LCI, an ICT Infrastructure and Software solution integrator, offers a wide range of ICT solutions based on HPE Technology, Microsoft solution, MS Business Central ERP, Document Management solutions, Cisco Networking solution, HP Inc equipment and Veritas Information management solution, among others.

Through its branded store - ‘iShop by LEAL’, LCI is one of the most ancient Apple Authorized Reseller and an Authorized Apple Service Provider (since 1999). With 4 stores spread over the island: Tamarin, Caudan, Phoenix and Grans Baie, ‘iShop by Leal’ is the leading Apple partner in Mauritius.

Elytics

Elytis is the regional IT distribution arm (hardware and software) for the Leal group IT Cluster. Elytis started operations in 1999 with the distribution of Lexmark and ViewSonic products in Mauritius. Elytis is an official Distributor of Microsoft, Symantec, Veritas, Mobile Iron, Crowdstrike, all over Indian Ocean islands, sub- Saharian Africa and French Pacific territories.

Elytis is also the local distributor for Epson, Jabra, Devialet, ViewSonic, MSI, Transcend and Lexmark.

SOLINFO SARL

SOLINFO SARL, incorporated in February 2006 is the leading supplier for Apple products and solutions in Reunion Island. Solinfo now has four dedicated sales/service outlets, branded ‘iShop’, located in St Denis, St Gilles, St Pierre and Ste Suzanne, the latter being an Apple Premium Reseller shop.

Spilog

Spilog NC (New Caledonia) and Spilog PF (French Polynesia) exist since over two decades. They are the Microsoft, Symantec, Bit Defender distributor in the French Pacific islands. In 2019, the Leal Group took over these two companies to extend its IT distribution business in these territories.

Tylers

Tylers was founded in 2010, the Leal IT cluster has become the majority shareholder in 2021. It is a Cyber Security Service Provider for the Mauritian and African markets. Tylers enables companies, in particular those in the Finance sector, to achieve compliance with Information Security Standards as required by local regulatory bodies and International Best Practices by offering Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessments, IT Security Audit, Digital Forensics and Trainings.

Leal Equipements Cie Ltée (LEC) is active in the Indian Ocean region since more than 2 decades, offering a whole range of heavy equipment with Volvo Construction Equipment, CIFA, Epiroc, Atlas Copco, Arden Equipment, Renault Trucks, Merlo and Terex Powerscreen for the construction and transport sectors. LEC is also very dynamic in the industrial sector with handling equipment, namely, Terex Cranes, CVS Ferrari, Jungheinrich, EP Equipment and also complete warehousing solutions with SPAN. Known as a Global Solutions Provider, LEC is recognized by its peers for its professionalism and expertise.

Listed on the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM), Alteo is a regional group with well-established activities in the Sugar, Energy and Property sectors.

Alteo is the largest sugar producer in Mauritius and has a strong presence in East Africa, where it operates two sugar factories in Tanzania and Kenya. In financial year 2021, the Group produced 297,900 tonnes of raw sugar and 65,000 tonnes of premium sugars.

In addition to its sugar activities, Alteo owns and operates three power plants (two in Mauritius and one in Tanzania), that exported 205 GWh to the national grids in 2021.
