Mauritius embarks upon an inclusive v-shaped digital transformation
The Networked Readiness Index (NRI) 2021 report states: “The pandemic turned digital transformation from a priority into a global imperative”. Indeed, Mauritius is now fully embarking upon the digital revolution, driven by businesses across economic sectors but also nation-wide adoption of digitalised services. Factors such as affordability of internet access and easy access to smartphones ensure that Mauritius adopts a V-shape inclusive recovery process rather than the K-shaped recovery which could exacerbate digital divides.
