Year 2021 marked the 10th year of service of Vivo Energy Mauritius Ltd (VEML) which distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants to retail and commercial customers. The company continues to top the chart with a turnover of Rs 10.4 billion (+24% increase) and profit before taxation of Rs 344 million (+63% increase). VEML aims to achieve “Growth with purpose” which translates by heavily investing in the training and empowerment of its staff. Furthermore, the Managing Director Matthias de Larminat explains that “in order to support the country’s recovery”, VELM provided “favourable credit facilities to manufacturing, agricultural, tourism or construction customers.”
